We need a Receptionist for our Lewisham Clinic.  Due to an increase in the number of people using our services we need an extra Receptionist to work at our front desk. You will be responsible for building good relationships with our clients and dealing with the booking in, admission and discharge of their animals as appropriate. You will give knowledgeable advice on animal welfare issues, deal with financial matters with exemplary attention to detail, work well with all other areas of the Clinic and always be mindful of ways in which we can improve our services. You will exhibit a helpful and willing attitude at all times, have high standards of politeness and show empathy for all our clients, whatever their problems.  It will be very difficult to perform this role without some previous experience of working in a veterinary practice or closely with animals in some other way.  You will need to have an excellent, efficient and empathetic phone manner and be able to deal with difficult and emergency situations in a calm but timely way.  You will also have excellent record-keeping skills and be able to pass on clear, complete and accurate messages. You will be able to instil confidence into our clients, be assertive and resilient and able to cope with the challenges of animal welfare work. The days of work are negotiable so let us know what you could do.

 

Salary will be dependent on previous experience.
