We are seeking a part-time Homing Officer for our Canning Town Branch

 

The Job involves:

1. Telephone and direct conversations and interviews with the public regarding animal adoption.
2. Carrying out home visit assessments to provide advice about adopting and caring for our rescued animals (mainly cats) and to assess suitability. Being able to explain why a home may not be suitable.
 3. Administration - keeping accurate records, adoption paperwork, follow up checks etc.
     Paperwork and telephone calls can be completed on a work from home basis.
The successful applicant must:
  
öBe passionate about animal welfare
  
öPossess a good knowledge of cats, including a good basic understanding of health matters and feline behaviour

 

  öBe patient, understanding and sensitive when working directly with our rescued animals
  
öBelieve in C.H.A.T's aims and objectives and be prepared to conscientiously apply them to the rehoming of every animal

 

   öBe highly organised and self-motivated
  
öHave a friendly, polite and patient manner when communicating with members of the public.

This position is part-time and will involve day, evening and weekend working, but can generally be fitted around  your lifestyle.

Salary will be according to experience.

A full driving licence and own vehicle will be required. A mileage allowance will be given.
