Veterinary job vacancies at The Celia Hammond Animal Trust in London

Canning Town is CHAT's East London centre for veterinary care, rescue and rehoming. Working for us, as well as looking after owned pets, you will also have the opportunity to nurse abused and unwanted animals back to health and into new loving homes. Working for CHAT, you will be directly making a difference to the welfare of animals in London.
You will also have an unrivalled opportunity to improve your skills, for as well as catering for people on low incomes we also accept referrals from many private vets, where the owners may have been faced with the option of euthanasia for their pet.  With us you will work on a very wide range of medical and surgical cases including orthopaedic and referral level soft tissue surgeries. You must have very good Veterinary Nursing experience and, as with all our roles, we are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare. This is a real hands-on role using all your skills and training and you will not be expected to cover reception work. You will be fully involved with the animals and your initiative will be encouraged and valued. We are well equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, endoscopes etc. This is a permanent vacancy although we will consider candidates willing to work for a minimum of six months. You will work from Monday to Friday with weekends, evenings and nights covered on a rota basis. Salary is commensurate with experience. Accommodation may be available.

We are seeking a good general Surgeon with an interest in Charity work.
